What made this man from Beromünster so special? Having just finished grammar school, Troxler started out as a young politician. He later became a teacher, doctor and philosopher. In short: a genius in his many talents! His ideas on modern Switzerland, of which he was one of the founding fathers in 1848, were also brilliant. Troxler fought for his convictions, which landed him in prison and forced him to flee several times. Around 170 years ago, he stood up for ideals that are still important and valuable to us today. The brochure was designed for students in the 3rd cycle and those interested in history. It can be used for lessons in the 7th/8th school year. It delves deeper into the topic "Is Troxler an inventor of modern Switzerland?".
