Rathausen. Ein Ort erzählt seine Geschichte
2017
An exhibition in 30 stations on 750 years of Rathausen
History is alive in Rathausen. A tour of the grounds will give you an insight into over 750 years of history. Convent nuns, later trainee teachers, soldiers of the French Bourbaki army, smallpox sufferers, finally institutionalised children lived here in the past, whereas today it offers a home for people with disabilities.
The tour recalls the darker side of residential care in Switzerland in the 19th and 20th centuries. It also aims to stimulate reflection on today's social work.
