Vermittlungsangebot Museggmauer
2024
A tour over and around the history of the Musegg Wall is being developed as a cultural adventure.
The University of Teacher Education Lucerne is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the Cantonal Archaeological Centre its 70th anniversary. Both institutions are using their anniversaries as an opportunity to present the city, region and canton of Lucerne with a new, jointly developed educational programme under the motto: Every child in Lucerne visits the Museggmauer!
The launch of the new offer was celebrated on 14 September 2023 in front of the Musegg Wall at the Hintermusegg cultural centre in the presence of, among others, Director of Education Armin Hartmann, City Councillor Adrian Borgula, PH Rector Kathrin Krammer, Cantonal Archaeologist Jürg Manser and Claudia Huser, President of the Association for the Preservation of the Musegg Wall, with around 100 guests. Since then, children (and adults...) have been able to solve the "riddle of the red stones" and experience exciting adventures.
The "Lucerne Cultural Adventure" is aimed primarily at children of primary school age, but also at families and anyone who enjoys solving puzzles. Five tours with a film, audio stations, historical panoramic pictures and enigmatic red stones are at the centre. They tell the story of the construction and utilisation of this architectural monument, its ecological value as a habitat for animals and plants and the importance of the park-like grounds for the people of Lucerne. The reaction of the school class, which was the first to venture into the new cultural adventure during the opening ceremony, showed just how good the range of offers is: they asked their teacher to come back the following day.
