Dampfschiff Rigi

2019 - 2021

Restaging and teaching materials for the exhibition on the Rigi steamship at the Swiss Museum of Transport.

The "Paddle steamer Rigi" was taken over by the Swiss Museum of Transport 60 years ago from the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company, served as a restaurant in the meantime and was damaged in a flood. The project developed a proposal for how this large exhibit could be utilised in line with the Swiss Museum of Transport's aims of experiencing and learning. The realisation took place in 2021.

"Impressive - the valuable, historical exhibit DS "Rigi" (1848) tells an impressive story of technological, economic and social history and is just as old as modern Switzerland."

Martin Bütikofer, Director of the Swiss Museum of Transport
